The same sequence runs for every seafarer we deploy, regardless of rank or receiving fleet.
Owner's crew requisition is matched against our verified candidate pool by rank, vessel type and prior fleet experience.
Certificates, endorsements and sea-service records are checked against STCW and the receiving flag's requirements.
Pre-joining medical exam, PPE issuance, visa application and any owner-specific onboarding documentation.
Vanguard books travel and liaises directly with the port agent to confirm the joining schedule and transit arrangements.
Seafarer is escorted to sign-on, with handover documentation completed alongside the outgoing crew member and ship's master.
Monthly wages are routed through Vanguard for disbursement to seafarers' families onshore, for the duration of the contract.
Vanguard's brokerage desk runs on the same owner and agent network built through crew supply — tonnage is sourced, listed and negotiated across dry cargo, bulk and container segments.
